MO Videsh

By introducing MO Videsh, the Department of Posts own cross border remittance service.  The service was introduced on 24.10.2009 by our Dept. of Posts.  MO Videsh enjoys a unique position in India as it allows for not only inward cash to cash remittance but also outward cash to cash remittance.  The service is introduced in Sangareddy & Zahirabad Head Post Offices in Sangareddy Division.  So far 4 transactions took place at Sangareddy HO.

Web complaints

The efficiency of any organization is measured based on the service efficiency.  Complaints from the customers should be attended immediately.  All the Postmasters/Sub Postmasters are hereby directed to check the web complaints registered and remedial action should be initiated duly furnishing the proper reply on the web itself.  This should be a mandatory item for all the Project Arrow Post Offices.

IMTS

I am astonished to see the sudden decline in our IMTS traffic in the division.  You all know that IMTS is a service which allows the user to get amounts from their kith and kin across the world and also a good business prospect for the department.  Please educate the prospective customers of your area and ensure good business on IMTS.  I want to see all the IMTS locations in our division as functional and ensure everyday transactions.  P. Project Arrow Post Offices

Project Arrow concept ois conceived in April, 2008.  The concept of Project Arrow is make Post Office the "Window to the World" for "aam aadmi".   All the Postmasters/Sub Postmasters of Project Arrow Post Offices in our division are requested to ensure running of DET (Data Extraction Tool) every day without fail.  Doing all the hard work through out the day and non running of DET will figure your office as NO WORK office. The DET tool will enable the administration at different levels to view the performance of the office and to take further remedial action for betterment of the public service.   Following are the Project Arrow Post Offices in Sangareddy Division.

History of Sangareddy Postal Division

SANGAREDDY is the District Headquarters of Medak District in Telangana Region of Andhra Pradesh Postal Circle.  Medak District is one of the famous districts in AP.  Medak District is comprising of two postal divisions i.e. Sangareddy and Medak.  Sangareddy was Head Post Office till 1951 comprising of Sub Offices and Branch Offices of entire Medak District.  In October, 1951 it was downgraded as Sub Office and placed under Secunderabad Head Post Office.  Again from 1.1.1960 it was upgraded as Head Post Office.  Siddipet was upgraded to Head Office with effect from 01.04.1980 and Medak Head Post Office with effect from 01.12.1980 and Zaheerabad HPO with effect from 01.05.1980.  Narayankhed and Zahirabad wee originally under Bidar Postal District and Postal Division.  On their transfer from Bidar District to Medak District, the Post Offices also came under Medak Division with the formation of Rangareddy District.  Ramachandrapuram which was under Secunderabad was transferred to Sangareddy Division w.e.f. 01.09.1981 and Shankarpally Post Office which was in Sangareddy Division was transferred to Secunderabad Division w.e.f. 01.01.1986.
